While completing their PhD 2 student of Stanford University California invented a website that changed the way we surf the internet. They were Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They named the site Google.

They registered the domain on September 1997 and on 4^th of September 1998 they decided to incorporate the company and move the headquarters to Mountain View California, currently place is popularly known as Google plex.
